Meet-The-Teacher Meetings – 16th February

On Thursday evening, 16th February, staff will be staying back after school to allow parents and carers time to come to their classroom and be briefed on key elements of their child’s classroom routines, such as homework, behaviour expectations, excursions, equipment, support, etc. Time will be made available for questions. If one or both parents are unable to make it to a session, don’t worry. Each teacher will provide a handout summary of their session and this will be sent home with the children of those parents and carers unable to attend.
Don’t forget, staff are always willing to make an appointment with you to discuss all topics and your child’s progress.
Later in the term, we will again conduct our 3-way interviews, where your child’s academic and social progress can be discussed in a team atmosphere.
Meet the Teacher Meeting Times
5pm-5.30pm: KS, K/1T, 5/6W – in the classrooms
5.30pm-6pm: 1/2G, 2/3LH, 3/4K, 4/5PM – in the classrooms
Looking forward to seeing as many parents and carers as possible.

Meet the Teacher

Coming up soon, on the evening of Monday 9th February, staff will be staying back to hold an information session about the class plans, routines and practices for the coming semester and year.
Topics such as assessment and reporting, homework, excursions, equipment, groupings, rewards, etc will be covered and questions will be welcomed.
We are aware that many parents and carers have a child in more than one class and grade, and we will be splitting the sessions into two times in an attempt to assist some folks to attend both if possible. Between the two sessions, we will all gather in the hall for a general discussion with myself, where topics on whole-school issues will be covered and again questions will be welcomed.
If it is not possible, don’t forget that every teacher will be preparing a hand-out of their discussion topics that will be given to every parent/carer from that class, and also remember that we are always willing to make an interview time to discuss class issues.

The timetable is as follows:
4.30pm – 5.00pm.      -Parents from classes KS, (Mrs Savage), 1LP, (Mrs Lindsay & Mr Piggott), 1/2T, (Mrs Thompson).
5.00pm – 5.30pm.     –Whole group discussion in hall with Mr Firth and staff.
5.30pm – 6.00pm.-   –Parents/carers from classes  2/3H, (Mrs Hubbard),  4/5PH, (Mrs Piggott & Mr Howell), 5/6W, (Mrs Westwood).

We look forward to seeing you at the meetings.
