Education Week

This week,  (Monday 31 July – Friday 4 August) is Education Week, a statewide annual event to celebrate public education in NSW.

The week highlights the achievements of public education and local schools, putting the spotlight on our students, our educators and the communities that support them.

This year’s theme is I Learn, We Learn. It is a celebration of the commitment of the NSW Department of Education to ensuring that our students are at the heart of learning and that all our schools improve every year.

Yesterday, we had a wonderful day where parents came into our classrooms, picnic in the grounds for afternoon tea and then a relaxing concert and parade ended the day. Thank you to everyone who came along and enjoyed the day.

Education Week

All families were issued with an invitation to our Education Week “open day”,that was held yesterday. Many families arrived in the playground at 1.30pm for a picnic afternoon tea where delicious cupcakes were on sale. Then at 2.00pm then ventured into the classrooms to browse through work done in class . Later, we gathered in the hall, to finish the day with a mini-concert, showcasing more of our student’s talents. Students were also dressed as their favourite book character.

“Thank you” to all those brave parents, grandparents, relatives and carers for coming up to the school to participate in the “open day” activities planned to celebrate Education Week, 2016.
