Starting School

Your child can start Kindergarten at the beginning of the school year if they turn five on or before 31st July in that year. By law, all children must start school by their sixth birthday.

Starting your child in Kindergarten the year they turn 5 or waiting until the following year is an individual choice. If you are unsure you may wish to speak with our Kindergarten teacher or your child’s preschool teacher or doctor.

To assist with the transition of starting school, Kindergarten Orientation days are held during Term 4 at Cardiff North on the following dates:

Parent Information Night Monday 11th October, at 7.00 pm

Kinder Orientation Session –  Wednesday 13th October at 10.10am – 11.00am

Parents and children tour the school and children meet their buddies.

2011 Kindies

These three sessions are for the children to familiarise themselves with class routines and activities and to interact with their buddies.

Kinder Orientation Session –  Friday 15th October, 1pm – 2pm
Kinder Orientation Session  – Tuesday 19th October, 10am – 11.15am
